The t-shirt store got taken down, I guess it was violating too many copyrights for CafePress. All the shirt said was "I was thinking Bob Marley" - J. Castro.

The future of this site...

Why do people love Jason Castro so much? What made his response to Simon so awesome? As flyaway2 said in the Digg thread, it was TRUTH. Simon couldn't bring him down. Simon went on and on about how horrible the performance was. Jason didn't respond with "I don't know", or shrug his shoulders. He immediately told Simon the truth, and said "I was thinking Bob Marley!" with an attitude that showed his free spirit. I am both happy and sad he is off American Idol. Happy because he won't become another pop robot stamped by American Idol. And sad because if he did win, he would have had an even easier route to getting his music style out to the world, but then he would probably have less control over song selection (at first).

Today i was thinking, I wish Jason would have chosen Redemption Song solo with his guitar and no backup band. That would have been pretty amazing.

Watch the entire peformance again, and if you originally thought it wasn't very good, see if your opinion has changed.

Help support Jason by spreading the "I was thinking Bob Marley" statement, and showing others video clips of the best quote in American Idol season 7.
